The copper-nickel have contents of nickel from 5 to the 44% and is used, generally, by its excellent resistance to the corrosion, the one which increases with the nickel content. Among the alloys with highest nickel content is found in the MONEL, of exceptional resistance properties to the corrosion. In addition to the cupronickel binary, formed only to base of nickel and copper some contain a third or a fourth element. Those which contain zinc are known by German silver.
